Community Marketer
Own Core: the trade shows, hosted dinners, partner co-marketing and community where most of Tie’s deals start.
About Tie
Tie is building the identity and decision infrastructure for the next generation of commerce. As AI agents increasingly shape how consumers discover and buy products, brands need a new way to identify shoppers, predict their behavior and deliver truly personalized experiences. Tie is pioneering this category as Artificial Marketing Intelligence™ (AMI).
Built on a 280M+ consumer identity graph, our products (Tie ID, Tie Predict and Tie Priority) recognize who shoppers are, score who is ready to buy, and get brand emails into the primary inbox, making Klaviyo, Braze, Bloomreach, Shopify and the rest of the stack smarter without replacing any of it.
We have grown more than 2x year over year for the past 3 years, with 300+ customers including Caraway, Ridge, Aviator Nation, Mejuri, Nike Strength, Perry Ellis, Sharper Image and OluKai. Next, we are launching agentic identity, predictive intelligence and autonomous decisioning products that power one-to-one commerce across websites, AI agents and new shopping interfaces.
The role
Events and partners are where Tie’s deals start. Our Core (trade shows, hosted dinners, and co-marketing with Klaviyo, Braze, Bloomreach and agency partners) is how we have grown the business, and it gets most of our marketing budget. You will own it, and you will be the person who brings our new AMI products to the operators who matter most.
You start in December, right as conference season is about to begin, with a trade show almost every other week through Q1. Between events, you will build the community ecommerce operators want to be part of: a Slack community where retention marketers trade notes, dinners people ask to be invited back to, and a customer advisory board that shapes what we build.
You sit in the revenue organization, so events, community and partner programs run as one motion with Sales and partnerships, and you work closely with our Growth Marketer and product marketing.
What you’ll do
- Own the Core events and sponsorship budget: pick the conferences, buy the sponsorships that pay back, and cut the ones that don’t.
- Run trade-show activations, meetings and happy hours that turn a booth into pipeline.
- Build Tie’s hosted program: executive dinners, city roundtables and invite-only events, each with a target guest list built with Sales and follow-up within 48 hours.
- Run co-marketing and co-hosted events with Klaviyo, Braze, Bloomreach and our agency partners.
- Run the Customer Advisory Board: programming, member engagement, and sessions that feed product and marketing.
- Launch and grow the Tie community on Slack. Invite customers and prospects, recruit experts to own channels, and keep it useful. No pitching, ever.
- Turn happy customers and members into advocates, and bring them into the paid and agency referral programs the partnerships team runs.
- Own merch that operators keep, and use it as a reason to reach out.
How we’ll measure you
- Pipeline sourced and influenced by every event, dinner and partner program, tracked in Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Cost per qualified opportunity on Core spend.
- Community members and engagement, and referrals passed to partnerships.
You might be a fit if you
- Have 4+ years running field marketing, events or community at a B2B company.
- Plan like an operator and host like a restaurateur. Details matter to you, and so does the guest list.
- Do the work yourself, from booking the venue to sending the follow-up.
- Work closely with sales and partners, and treat an AE’s calendar after an event as your scoreboard.
- Have negotiated sponsorships and vendor contracts and know what a good deal looks like.
- Are comfortable in HubSpot and Salesforce, and use AI tools daily to work faster.
- Can travel often, especially during Q1 conference season.
Bonus points
- An existing network of DTC operators, retention marketers or ecommerce agencies.
- You have run a Slack or Discord community with real activity, not just members.
- You have produced an event people still talk about, or merch people still wear.
